Plexamp requires exclusive control of the audio chain when running will not allow any other sound source to play simultaneously.
- If plexamp is playing music, other audio sources, like an internet music stream accessed through the browser, will fail to play the internet music stream. Plexamp will continue to play uninterrupted. If I stop plexamp, the internet music stream will play successfully.
- If I am streaming music from the browser and attempt to play content with plexamp, plexamp will fail to play the content and reacts very strangely.
- Conversely, if plexamp is not running and I play two or more internet streams simultaneously, all will play successfully.
This issue seems to be the same as Plexamp RPI soundcard exclusive control , from a very long time ago.
In 2022 elan posted a solution in v4.2.2 beta 5 release Plexamp on the Raspberry Pi - #11 by elan . Was this solution ever merged to master?
Same question as the above post: Is there a way for Plexamp to release control of the audio chain when audio is not being streamed [by plexamp]?
