Am I safe to upgrade the OS to Sonoma?
Does Plex have an opinion or should I just guess?
Hi,
great question… The answer is No if you depend on this Mac install to run your everyday Plex Server. Apparently there are a few little issues and precautions you will have to contend with for a while. I would give it a month and if you have setup some precautions in a backup of Ventura, it maybe an ok idea.
I must say I considered the same and decided to wait a while, avoiding divorce at my time of life is a no brainer.
Cheers, I’ll wait until Plex state it’s good to go, or until hell freezes over, which ever is first ![]()
No, Plex support?
Nothing?
Sonoma…good…bad…indifferent?
I can’t raise a support ticket, so, I’m here and asking.
Throw a bottle into the sea?
Whistle into the wind?
I’d rather raise a support ticket, after all, I am paying for this.
I’ve updated my M1 Mac Mini to Sonoma, without any issues. Everything is working fine (Plex Media Server version 1.32.7.7571). So I think it will be supported…
Thanks ![]()
I’ve upgraded to Sonoma, so far so good. No crashing of the client, no other issues to report (other than the ongoing port forwarding fiasco).
Resolved without the official aid of Plex it must be noted.
