Same File Showing as Multiple "Versions"

My Plex server frequently shows content as being different versions, even though it’s the same file on disk. I pulled the XML for one such example (though I have 100+) and I don’t see what’s different. It is the same path to the file on disk, and the same metadata.

Any ideas what would cause this, and what could be done to correct it? Rescanning still leaves me with multiple versions. (This has been going on for a while, but it just got to the point where it’s slightly annoying enough to get me to post about it.)

In reality, it’s just a visual glitch with the multi-version icon being displayed, but I’d still like to figure out why it’s happening and what I can do to fix it.

Did you move the files after they were already read-in by Plex to another folder
or
did you edit the library and add another path to the files, which happens to overlap with an already defined path? (you must not do this)
(‘edit’ your library, go to the ‘Add Folder’ tab)

The only way to repair this condition is a full Plex Dance

This also happened to me just now, with a movie I added to my library. I have tried the Plex Dance thing, but it didn’t fix the problem.
