Sorry but I don’t even know how to search for or ask the proper question. Seems like a couple of weeks ago my Samsung app “went crazy.” (See the way I cleaned that up?) No longer have the alphabet down the right side. Most often only have access to maybe 1/10th of my movies. The ones I can see are in no obvious order, not alphabetical, not by year, I don’t know what happened. Googled for two weeks and can’t find anyone else complaining, don’t know how to uninstall/reinstall the TV app, can’t even see any helpful settings to try. Any assistance from the team would be greatly appreciated!
Please make a screenshot, so we can see what you are seeing.
Sir, I truly appreciate the offer to help. I don’t know how to “make a screenshot” from my TV. I Googled and read, “Hold down the home key.” That only tried to connect me to Samsung support. So I’m stuck. I can only say, when I go to a computer connected to the DB I see “Discover” and, on the left, a menu that allows me to get to the usual 2,000+ posters in alphabetical order with the alphabet showing on the right. On the TV, I see the same elements as on the computer except for the menu to the left where I select “Movies” to see everything. The way it is, if I select “Movies” on the TV I am only offered “Recommended,” “Libraries,” etc… Today I couldn’t even get to the view that had movies scrambled… I know this doesn’t help you…
You could use a regular digital camera. One on a smart phone, for instance.
Any chance that it says ‘Library’ instead?
Pick that one.
Otto, you are a kind man. Yes, it actually says “Library” and of course I tried that one. From inside that I was offered 200 of the 2000 movies and included were folder names like “Drama,” “Comedy,” and so on. Bottom line is I went to the server, tried shutting down the app there, came to the TV, logged off and logged on again and it is working again. Still uncomfortable that it shows the administrator name on the screen (rather than the media user I created for the family to use). Anyway, truly, I appreciate your attempts to help. Hoping no more problems for awhile, but if so, I’ll know that taking a picture of the screen will satisfy. Thought about it, but was embarrassed to do that way.
At least now you can close this and deal with people a little more able to explain their problems. If I do come back, watch for me to ask, “How do I get .m3u playlists to work on PLEX?”
