Samsung tv app tizen 5 and hdr10+

Hi I noticed a strange behavior using plex on my Samsung 49Q70R. I ripped two uhd bluray hdr10+ to mkv without re-encoding and with original tracks: Widows and bad times at the el royale. When I start playing (with direct play and absolutely no transcoding) and go to tv settings I see that are detected as simple hdr10 and randomly it shows hdr10+ for few seconds and then switching back to hdr10. Do you think that this is the correct behavior? On Amazon videos hdr10+ contents are detected as such for the whole time but not sure for uhd blurays as I don’t have a uhd bd player for my tv.

As far as i know MKV do not support HDR10+/Dolby Vision meta data streams.

Dolby Vision yes (needs m2ts) but HDR10+ no it can be mkv

Hi, I tested another hdr10+ bluray rip today (Alita battle angel) and is detected as full hdr10+ from tv. With the others “intermittents” movies there should be something wrong with the sources or idk if with the firmware. Plex surely is fine. I’m sorry, this thread could be locked/archived.
