Samsung TV not connecting securely until retry

Server Version#: 1.16.5.1554
Player Version#: Plex for Samsung 4.1.1, Tizen 4.0

Upon launching the Plex app, my server is always unavailable at first. In order to get it to connect, I have to select a library, then hit “retry connection” (in the UNO interface at least, before I just had to go to the category and it would refresh), then it will continue to work normally until the app is re-launched.

I discovered that this only occurs when the “Secure connections” is set to “Required.”
“Preferred” works, but does not seem to connect securely.

The debug log shows this:
