Samsung TV not working if secure connections are required

Server Version#: 1.15.4.994
Player Version#: Plex for Samsun 3.92.3 Tizen 4.0

I am currently having an issue with my samsung smart TV not being able to connect to my plex server on first try. Essentially what is happening is I open the plex app and it shows it only shows everything from my friends server which is remote. Then when I navigate to shows or movies, I have to select my server which says unable to connect. After clicking on it, it attempts to connect again and works without issues. With how the TV app is coded, if my friends server is offline, the app says no servers found and then just ceases to load anything and doesn’t give me the option to retry.

My server is run within a docker container using host network mode. Remote access is available and it works perfectly with no issues on any of my other devices.

How I currently have it setup is my server is in a DMZ network. I have tried switching the VLAN for my TV over into the same network, but that didn’t help.

I have found that this might be an issue with “Secure Connections” set to required. When it was set to required, it could not find the server locally at all when the server manually by specifying the IP. After setting “Secure Connections” to preferred, it connected without issue. It also still connect via a secure connection.

Switching my TV back over to its normal VLAN and after “Secure Connections” have been set to preferred, it now connects normally to my plex server and works even if my friend’s server is down.

Is there any reason why “Secured Connections” required and preferred have an impact on this?
