Samsung TV Plex App Consistently crashes near end of episodes/films

Server Version#: 1.26.0.5715 (Windows)
Player Version#: 5.36.1 (Samsung)

As mentioned, I receive a playback failure around 95% of the film/episode’s duration. This has been happening for at least 4 months now I think.

Can anyone help me solve this? I am attaching the logs that seemed relevant (the crash happened at 16h13m). Is there anything else I can provide?

I just found your post and posted my issue just now as well. I am having the same problem on the same server version and TV! My issue might have started some time ago as well, I can’t remember how far back it’s been, but I know it occurred on it’s own without any changes on my end. It seems to only affect my anime episodes that I’m aware of.

I’m not an expert but according to your logs you’re having the same issue as me, though as mentioned mine seems to only happen for anime shows.

Found this in your logs, which is what happens when mine crashes too:

ERROR - [Transcode] Transcoder: Failed to delete session directory

Let’s hope we can get some traction and a speedy resolution from the Plex dev team!

To be honest I mainly watch anime, but I am pretty certain it also happens with movies. Might have something to do with the encoding though (X265). Although to be honest I haven’t tested that as X264 content is now kind of rare.
