Hi, why does plex use such an old profile for Samsung tvs? AV1 was widely supported since 2021, yet Plex wants to transcode this. If you force direct play it works fine ofcourse. Same with multiple audio streams in a mkv container. Without direct play plex will transcode the second audio stream to aac. Yet with force direct play it play it without problems. Samsung tvs pretty much play everything, only dts and dv are not supported. But Plex uses some generic profile for 2020 tvs. Is there any plan to ever update this?
There are lot’s of posts about av1 support on tizen, yet no reply from plex? Seems like an easy fix to add av1 to samsung device profile.
