Save mix builder for later

Been playing with Plexamp and I love it, what would it be great is to be able to save “Mix Builder” for later, I know it’s save in “Recent Plays”
but this only save 20.
Thanks for listening and a great app.

Thanks for the suggestion! Are you finding yourself playing the mixes, or the stations from Mix Builder?

Yes and it’s great, I’ve played with both and I prefer “Mix Builder” because later I can use that “Mix Builder” that I create and use “Play Mix” or “Play Radio” for more option, that’s why I would love to have the option to save a “Mix Builder”.
Hope you understand what I am trying to explain here.
Stay safe.

I want this also. My typical is to use it to build radios so I can pull similar music from my library. I also use mixes to a lessor amount if I only want to hear that/those artist(s). The radio function has allowed me to move on from the random playlists I used to have to import due to Plex’s virtually non-existent playlist capabilities.
That said, I have a few artist that also have Christmas albums how do I mark them not to be played in a mix? In systems with decent playlist support I disallow the Christmas genre for most of the yeat but no way to do that here.

I find the Mix Builder super cool too but I’ve found I haven’t really needed to save them because I’ve been creating these sort of “mixes” already using the smart playlists and tags. So maybe setting yourself up like this might get you by until that feature is added

I’ve been misusing/abusing the Collection tags to mark similar styles of music in much broader categories than comes from the plex metadata servers. So I have “collections” tags on artists that are either Rock, Metal, Punk, Electronica, Drum & Bass, Synthwave, or Trance. Then I have a bunch of smart playlists like “Top Rated” (anything over 3 stars), “Top Metal” (Metal collection over 3 stars), “Metal” (Metal Collection over 1 star as I use 1 star to mean filler track I don’t want on random), etc… This also has the benefit of being able to tag artists in multiple collections if they live on the fringes of a couple genres.

So you might go a step further than me and add “Black 'n Roll” and tag Kvelertak and Bonehunter and Demonic Death Judge in there to start. Then later you might stumble upon Cloak and think they fit in here. Now you just add the tag to them and your playlist updates. Or if you get a new album from one of the bands it updates.

This gets you pretty much the same functionality as saving a mix builder, just you can’t do it on your phone on the fly. I still love the mix builder when I really want to hone in on a sound or style, but it’s usually one-offs for me rather than something I want to keep.

Hopefully that helps you get closer to what you’re wanting!
