Still unfixed? Can’t download. Xiaomi Redmi note 10 5G.
What version of the app are you using? A fix was included in 8.24.0 beta.
Haven’t tried the Beta yet, would be really awesome if it was fixed though. My Camera > NAS > PLEX > PHONE/SHARING workflow, incorporating this feature, is the only reason I bought plex.
Any updated thoughts on how to DL/Install the Beta on Android? Also, it doesn’t look like the server side beta has installed on NVIDIA Shield, despite following the instructions/waiting a few hours.
I don’t know what that is. You can’t share photos outside of Plex.

Has it installed yet? If not, try loading the Play store on a desktop browser and push the update to your Shield.
My android app is at 8.23.1.28053, when the fix will be available on the main release?
8.24 should be coming to public soon. I don’t have an exact date.
I’m on 8.24.0 and when I try to download my photos I get a “An error has occurred, please try again later” error message.
You cannot “Download” photos. That’s a bug. That option should not be shown for photos. You can only “Save” or “Share” individual photos while viewing them.
When will this feature be available for Downloads? I have that capability currently with Sync. I would hope you’re not taking this feature away.
Same problem on OnePlus 7 Pro. Please fix.
I have the same problem trying to save the pictures on the android app
I need to share the pictures so our family can download the o es the want
Still having the issue as well, Samsung galaxy s21 now. Different phone, android version, same old problem.
Sadly this is the core feature I wanted it for. Allowing family to all download full quality from the home server so they could share/edit/play with pics on their devices. Will not likely be renewing.
You can save photos, you just can’t do it with Downloads. While viewing a photo, click the vertical dot menu icon at the top right. From the menu, select save. This will save to the default downloads folder on their device.
