Saving video thumbnails in a different location

Many people use a fast ssd drive to store their media data in. It is also currently possible to set this location.

While this is working fine, it becomes a problem when people store for example video thumbnails which are 10-50 MB in this same location.

My request is to be able to change the location where video thumbnails are being stored to either the location where the media is located or a separate directory in Plex data folder.

This way people have the choice where to save this data and people can continue to store their metadata on a ssd, even with a large library of content.

A possible solution now is to use symlinks, but as the indexes folder that contains the video thumbnails file is located in the same media folder, this becomes very difficult to do so.

A request for the same feature exists already, and it has more votes.

Therefore this one is closed, to prevent spreading the votes across several threads, even though they vote for the same (or at least very similar thing).
