I see this was a feature requested as far back as 2013 but as far as I can tell still isn’t implemented.

With many phones being 18:9 now, a scale-to-fit option (ala VLC or Netflix) would be great. I’d rather use the whole screen and lose a tiny bit at the top & bottom of the picture.

Is this please something that can be added to the Android client in particular?
