I was reading through all the feature suggestions for filling the screen and a lot of people suggested stretching the original media to fit. I would like to have a feature where you can pinch the screen or have a button to fill the screen and just have a little part of the top and bottom cut off.
Almost all android phones that get made nowadays have these aspect ratio’s like 19:9 and i personally think that filling the screen and losing some information at the top and bottom look ways better without warping the image. YouTube and Netflix are already doing this and it looks great imo.
A request for the same feature exists already, and it has more votes.
