Scaling issues

I’ve been having a problem with the Plex Windows player ever since I got a new monitor. Currently, I have a dual monitor setup: 1080p monitor and a 4K monitor. I watch a majority of the content on the 1080p monitor still, and I run into scaling issues fairly frequently. The most common one is when I open the program, everything is way too big and is locked to the bottom left corner of the UI. I end up having to close and reopen the program multiple times before it fixes itself. My guess is that it’s assuming that both monitors are 4K, so it’s attempting to scale the program to 4K but in 1080p. It’s working currently, so I can’t provide screenshots at the moment, so I’ll add it in a reply once it happens again.

Also, correct me if I’m wrong, but an old version of this program used to have a setting that you could assign a default display/monitor? If that still exists on here, could someone tell me where it is?

dang not even 5 minutes after posting and it did it again. Here’s what it does:

For what it’s worth, I also noticed that it’s only the UI view and not the “hit boxes”, meaning clicking on where buttons would be at the correct scaling works, but the visual UI is just scaled wrong.

Oh great, that seemed to fix the problem (and even fixed a few other scaling issues I’ve been having with other programs). The fix is to right click on the program in File Explorer > Properties > Compatibility > Change High DPI Settings > Check "Override high DPI scaling behavior and select “System” in the dropdown.

Thanks a lot!
