Hi guys, i bought plex pass, it’s nice app but I didn’t know this app does not have screensaver during music playing like kodi or any other app, I have a90j Sony bravia and I can’t use it for playing music, I am sure this app make burn in in my tv, I have to go back to kodi and cancel my plex pass until they add a visualisation or allow the tv go in screensaver like Spotify or kodi,

We can do this on Sony too but we can’t always have this on the back of mind,

Ironically, plexamp has a visualizer when playing music… I don’t know how many people are watching their phones while listening to music, but to me, it makes a hell of a lot more sense to have that feature in the Android TV app than the Plexamp app.

I’m pretty sure no one looks at their phone while listening to music, but protecting an OLED is pretty damn important!

If we could have that vote option on this topic, perhaps Plex might see this concern and at least comment on this.
I have a Plasma TV and I’m definitely worried about burn-in.
going through this post there are many valid reasons for a screen saver or at least move the album art around the screen - in my case if someone in the family wants to listen to music I can’t expect them to understand they have to disable CEC and turn off the TV.
Surely if the Apple TV Gen 3 has this feature than its essential.
BTW The voting system on this forum is being looked at last I heard, the 3 votes or whatever it is just isn’t enough over the given period.

Very good point 
On my Sony Android LCD TV the system screensaver will kick in after a defined time whilst music is playing. This is set in the TV menus under Settings–Device Preferences–Screen Saver. I use 4k screen saver activating after 5 mins. Another option for my TV at least is turning off the display. If I bring up the quick menu there is an option called Picture Off. I use this a lot when streaming audio from Plex You Tube etc.
I’m not suggesting this will work for other devices, just what works for me.
