Seagate Nas and 4K Streaming

Hey Guys,

I’ve been looking around for an answer to my question, but couldn’t find anything relevant. Sorry if this has been asked before!

I have a Seagate NAS (Personal Cloud 3TB) and streaming through power line to a samsung ue55mu6500. The 1080p files play perfectly and i’ve never had a problem, but since investing in a 4k tv i’ve downloaded a couple of files to test how it streams 4k.

My problem is it’ll play perfectly for 5 to 10 minutes, then starts buffering sporadically, only for a couple of seconds, but enough to break up I’m watching. It doesn’t have any kind of pattern to the buffering either, just an annoyance as it seems to work fine then suddenly start to play up!

I’m not sure if using a roku/fire stick or apple tv 4k will help the problem and take some of the stress off the server itself?!

Any suggestions welcome
