Search Context menu is broken -- when searching my server, the Context menu will not show itself when clicking the 3 vertical dots (Edit: Still broken in Web Version 4.81.1)

Server Version#: 1.25.7.5604
Player Version#: Web Version 4.80.0

When searching my server (via app.plex.tv/desktop on a laptop using the Chrome/Firefox browser) it will bring up a list of search results, then clicking the 3 vertical dots next to an item should bring up a context menu with a handful of additional options…

That context menu no longer reliably pops up. Sometimes it does, however most times it does not. When clicking the 3 dots, it does a short spin and then nothing.

Anyone know how to fix this?

It’s a known problem and Plex has said they’re working on it.

Thanks for the response. Do you know if there is a forum thread covering this item? As I am not having any luck finding it.

I think these are related, but I’m not sure if there’s something else too.

This “actions are immediately available” fix improved a similar issue:

Appreciate the help, Volts. Thank you.

The latest version of Plex Web (v4.81.1) has been released and it looks like the context menu is still broken.

I understand there is a lot going on with Plex, but the search function has been degraded substantially and administering a server with this degraded search has become very time consuming … is there an ETA on this?

I’m sorry there is not.

Thank you for the reply. Is there a server version I can roll back to in order to get a working context menu?

Afaik only the web app at https://app.plex.tv that has issue, you should be able to use the local web app at serverip:32400/web replacing serverip with the actual IP of server which is an earlier version

The bundled web app has working context buttons but lacks the Where to Watch toggle.

Thank you. This web app (serverip:32400/web) is decidedly a better version for administering the server.
