Hello Everyone,

I was wondering if there was a way to modify the default “suggested’ search options. For example; when I’m searching for a movie, the default searches that populate while typing anything into the search bar come back as actors first. Often times ruling out Titles completely, or making me type in the whole movie’s title to get past the slew of actors the server keeps suggesting to me.

I can tell you, I’m NEVER searching for an actor. I’m looking for movies. To me, finding my media is the whole point of Plex. It’s actually in the mission statement “Plex personal media server magically scans and organizes your ‘files’ , sorting your ‘media’ intuitively and beautifully”. Media…Not actors.

Is there a way to edit this? I.e search/show movies first

In the search box in Plex/Web, on the left, click on the drop down menu and select E.G. Movies & Shows instead of the default All Media Types.
