I have seen this issue mutiple times as capability was added to the search function. Today I received an email from Plex touting A24. I checked the movie “And So it Goes” in my Plex Search bar. Nothing close in the first section, but the movie was listed down a ways in the free on Demand. And then below that in other ways to watch, the movie was listed in other ways to watch. If I clicked on that I found that my server was listed here. I have also seen this happen before, as I have a friend who has shared his library with me. His copy would show up first and my copy down in other ways to watch. I was wondering if this was based on best available resolution ( his copies were always humongous), and how can I get the search to return my library results first.
To the far right of the search bar, there is an icon for the search settings. This allows you to specify what source to search. Make sure your server is on. “More ways to watch” will always include your server. This is different from search.
Edit - Results from your server will always be first.
