I’d like to know if there’s a way that I can reorder my specials to AFTER a show’s season episodes rather than BEFORE.
At the moment, after I switched Dragon Ball and Rurouni Kenshin from showing seasons, to hiding them, Plex started showing me this order - i.e. The miniseries/movies are ordered to play before episode 1.
This probably happens to any show with a Specials category and with Show Seaons set to ‘Hide’.
I’d go to the show, edit, Advanced, and change “Episode Ordering” from “Library Default” to “The TVDB (aired)”. I’d think that should then play the specials whenever they came out, not necessarily after all the normal seasons, but at least they wouldn’t be before episode 1.
@chibcha8 is on the right track. However the aired episode ordering will still list episodes from specials first. What you want to check for is the absolute order.
Simply telling Plex not to show seasons doesn’t automatically change the sequence how they’re listed. Setting a different episode order does that…
Thanks for the reponse guys.
I’ve adjusted the ordering to TheTVDB (Absolute) which makes a lot of sense for anime.
I’ve also kept seasons hidden, but the Dragon Ball episode order is still specials first.
So unforunately, this is still not a solution.
Are we talking about the original Dragon Ball (1986)?
The six specials are not assigned in the Absolute Order listing. To not be first they will need to be moved to the correct sequence in the show’s chronology.
This is not a Plex problem, the metadata for where these need to be simply does not exist.
Note: Once they are in the right positions you’re gonna have to re-number all your files to match up to that.
