It would be great to be able to toggle on subtitles for a season instead of having to remember to do it each time before beginning an episode.
What is situation here?
if you have a show in a foreign language you can change the subtitle settings for the entire series. It’s in the Advanced section of the metadata.
These are English-speaking series. I have automatic checked in Plex web settings. I can set them individually, but they don’t come in automatically.
If you speak English and just want the subs always on for some other reason you just need to set it in the series settings:
I just set this and checked and episode and English captions are enabled on the pre-play screen. I then changed it to the normal setting “shown with foreign audio” instead of “Always enabled” and they were turned off again when I check back.
Ok, figured out what it was. I needed to click on the season cover pencil. Edit>Advanced>Always Subtitles
