I don’t know where this belongs, so if this should be posted elsewhere please take the appropriate action.
I noticed the “'Tis the Season!” section under Home recently that’s currently suggesting holiday movies from my library. One of the highlighted movies is Movern Callar, which is only related to the holidays because the main character’s boyfriend takes his own life next to a Christmas tree. I just thought this should be passed along to the Plex algorithm team for a bit of fine-tuning.
No solution necessary, this is more of a suggestion than anything. Thanks!
IIRC somebody had already commented that those seasonal movies aren’t strictly X-Mas movies… instead they can have a rather loose connection to that time.
Die Hard (“coming home for X-Mas”), Iron Man 3 (“talk about some x-mas gifts / ornaments”), Gremlins (“creep invasion during X-Mas time”) aren’t strictly X-Mas movies either I suppose… but they fit the category
@tom80h My favorite X-Mas movie is actually Die Hard (it’s widely considered one of the best in teh genre). Gremlins, 100% an X-Mas flick. Even Planes, Trains, and Automobiles is a solid pick. Iron Man 3, not so much… but its inclusion isn’t offensive. Morvern Callar, on the other hand, is on the same depression level as Requiem for a Dream. In no way, shape or form should this be even remotely suggested here.
Anyways, this was just an algorithm adjustment suggestion, that’s all.
