Second Plex server won't start setup

Hello Everyone.

I have a Plex server running in one network in UK, and its running fine with users connecting via VPN. So far so good. But due to load on first server, I have tried to setup a second Plex server - but after the server is installed, and I connect to http://local_ip:32400/web - I get no setup screen for that new server, so it only sees the first server.

When I connect to first server via http://remote_ip:32400/web it does not see the new second server…

How can I get the second server to start setup?

IIRC, I shutdown my first server before I could connect to my new one to claim it and get it set up, name and port forwarding mainly… Since I have seen other threads here that suggested open your browser in incognito mode to connect to the new server…

After shutting down server #1 and installing the second server again, the second server said:

No soup for you!
The server you are trying to access does not allow this. Please check that you are logged in as a user who has access to this server.

WHAT?!?

Did you also open your bowser in incognito mode as well???

Do you have access to the second server that you can open your bowser to localhost???

No effect - tried with three different browsers

Do you have access to the second server that you can open your bowser to localhost???

The second server is FreeBSD based, so no localhost browsing, but it is on the same network as my PC.

I have read about DNS Rebinding Checks. Could this have any effect? Meaning that I should be looking at the firewall?

I’m running out of ideas…!

Yeah, so is my second server with the first on Win7… I’m pretty sure all I did was shut down the Win7 box and used an incognito browser from my laptop, but it was 2 years ago… As of now I am out of ideas… The only things I can suggest is look for other threads about it or wait until the someone chimes in with other ideas… Sorry, I couldn’t be of more help…

Thanks for trying. I think I’ll try to install a windows based plexserver, and log in via http://localhost .

I think there is a bug in some programming within Plex. I don’t see any other reason. Or I’m missing something.

Happy year.
