While trying to setup up a second plex server, I can only see/access the other Plex Server/IP

Server Version#: 1.23.3.4692-c86c6f454
Player Version#:

I’m trying to setup up second plex server on a Windwos 10 PC, but after intalling and opening the server, I can only see the other Plex server and IP Address.

I tried to do this several times, but still no luck opening and starting a new Plex Server on the new Windows 10 PC. It keeps directing me to the other Plex Server IP Address.

The other server BTW is running on FreeNas 11.3 and has been running for years trouble free, but I wanted to swicth to a WIndows PC so that I could add plug-ins easier, and some of the other features like a comic book reader and the new arcade games features which are only available on Windows (and Mac) OS’s.

I’ve done this before, but for some reason I am having a problem this time around.

I even tried restating the PC after the install, deleting the cookies, but it still points to the other server.

Would shutting down the other server help?

Another question: How can I tell what the IP is on the new Windows Plex Server?

Thank you in advance for your help!

Steve

Settings → Network & Internet → Properties (make sure it is set to a Private, not Public, network)
or
c:\ipconfig

You must log into the new server via localhost so you either need to use a web browser on that machine or setup a tunnel between your server and desktop that will connect to 127.0.0.1 on your server. Once you do this the setup will automatically load when you log in. Then in setup you can claim the server and then it will show up in your account.

Got it! Thank you!

I finally found a way to get to it, from reading a prior post on the subject. I used Incognito Mode in Chrome and entered the local IP Address as mentioned in several differrent reviews on the subject, and voila! I was able to get to the local Plex Server and begin making my setup changes.
Thank you!
