Trying to seek while watching a video on the Windows player just straight out doesn’t seek at all, unless the area is buffered. Clicking doesn’t pause or attempt to seek and the video keeps playing (or stays paused if paused). Seeking works perfectly fine on Plex Web. Seeking works fine with music as well in both clients.

I’m having the same issue with the Plex Windows player where people are unable to seek beyond the buffered area of the seek bar. I have not tried music.
Trying Chapters or seeking outside the buffered area has no impact on the video playing and it’s like the input doesn’t register with the app
Resuming from a previous session will just start the video from the beginning.
I found my issue relating to my rclone settings vfs-cache-mode - If the mode is minimal then there are no issues with the Plex Windows player but if the mode is full then there are issues.
It’s really weird because it only impacts the Plex Windows player, and Plex Web works just fine regardless of the vfs-cache-mode.
Not many people use the Windows player on the server, so not really bothered since Plex Web works perfectly. We get better performance when the mode is full and the server is beefy with a GPU for transcodes.

I have the same problem since some days/weeks (I don’t know exactly when) only with one Plex server and only with the Plex desktop client, I have no problem with the mobile app, browser or tv.
With other servers that I have it also works the desktop app
Edit:
I also tried with older versions of the player down to 1.37.0.2706-5b2cfe50 and still it doesn’t work
I’ve had a play around with my Cloudflare settings and the problem is resolved when I change my Caching Level to either “No query string” or “Ignore query string”.
It used to be Standard.
