Assistance would really be appreciated. I’m pulling my hair out trying to get this to work.
I’m trying to cast synced content to a TV.
I have a Roku Express attached to the TV
I also have a Chromecast attached to the TV.
I am a PlexPass member
I can play the sync’ed content locally on the tablet.
TV, Roku, Chromecast and tablet are all on the same WiFi network and internet connectivity is all working.
I am remote (as in my primary Plex server is at home and I am traveling away).
I can stream remotely from my home Plex server to the Roku and the Chromecast and all works.
But… When I try to stream content that is sync’d to my tablet (on the same wifi network as the chromecast and the roku), the content never starts playing. It looks like it is going to work. The tablet screen shows like it is remotely playing and seconds are counting away on the tablet screen but the TV just shows a gray screen (chromecast example).
My tablet (Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 runing Android Pie) is also “sharing” content so I tried to connect from the Roku to the Tablet as if it was a server but get the message on the TV screen saying “Phil Tablet is Currently Unavailable”.
I see this in the debug logging on the tablet (i.e. the server I’m trying to connect to with Roku).
