Send broadcast message to all users category, There is another post from over two years ago but still this feature has not been added, Is there any way to send a message before each movie or show is played or when the user logs in?
There is not. The length of time a feature has been requested does not make it more likely to be implemented than other. Every request that has not been close and said “no” to is a “maybe”
If you are referring to notifications on playback or login for the admin which is different than broadcasting messages to shared users, you can get push notifications in the mobile apps. https://support.plex.tv/articles/push-notifications/.
Actually there are at least two perfectly good and well tested way to do what you want.
As I said both of those are quite well tested and in many text/email programs you can even send a message both ways to a list of people. That is some will get an email and some will get a text and some will get both depending on the selections made in the program.
My suggestion is to, as much as possible, use tools that exist rather than creating new tools unless the new tools are really a lot better and, in this case, I do not believe any tool inside Plex would be better…
But if you absolutely need a messaging system within your media program then try Emby. Emby can blast a message to all active devices and interrupt user’s watching experience all you want.
