Hello, I’m having issues creating a library for my locally stored Movie Trailers that can be organized similar to how the “TV Show” library works. For example, when I go to my “TV Show” library I can select the show I want, then the season, then the episode. I would like to have this same setup by going to my “Movie Trailers” library, selecting the Movie I want to see the trailers for and then selecting a specific trailer or watch them back to back. Now I tried creating a test “Movie Trailers” library and added the 3 trailers I have for The Dark Knight. So when I click on my “Movie Trailers” library I see the movie poster for The Dark Knight and a number 3 in the top left of the poster. However, when I click on the poster it doesn’t show me the 3 trailers. There is a play button but when I press it it only plays one trailer. Is there something I’m doing wrong? I am pretty new to Plex so any help would be appreciated!
What I have done is create a Library called Movie Trailers using Home Videos as the category. This means that the Library isn’t scrapped and it wont put posters up for them. I then edit the trailers title manually (you can add posters manually if you like). to play them back i create a playlist with the trailers and the movie I want to see.
You cannot group movies like this. Alternatively, you can organize it like a regular movie library. Make the trailer the movie file, and anything else as an extra. Playing the movie will play the trailer and then manually select the extras.
D:\Movie Trailers <-- This is where the library points to
\The Dark Knight\The Dark Knight.mkv <-- This is your trailer
\The Dark Knight\Interview with Actor-interview.mkv <-- extra #1
\The Dark Knight\Fight Sequence-Scene.mkv <-- extra #2
And so on.
Thank you both for the suggestions! I will give these methods a try soon.
