I have a really nice 7.1 home theatre system and I like to use plex to send the Video on my TV thru hdmi, but the audio get’s sent to the reciever for full surround experience.
It is a simple matter of switching the sound card setting in windows to the digital out and plugging the cable into the reciever.
I don’t have any VR gear yet, but I was wondering if there is a way to do this with a VR headset like the gear VR.
My ultimate goal is to be able to start buying 3d movies on blue ray, rip them to play with a VR headset and home theater… I don’t want to buy a whole new TV setup, just so that i can watch 3d movies.
Does anyone know if this is possible, and if so how to do it? Seems to me, in theory that if plex can handle multiple streams of video, it should be able to stream the same file twice but i could be wrong
