Sequence of bugs/regressions is getting out of hand

I am sorry to complain, but over the last couple months (give or take) my Plex experience has been frustrating. I am using NVIDIA SHIELD client into an Onkyo AVR. Within the last month or so, I have had updates that made .FLAC music files stop playing. I have had videos hang Plex to the point you cannot back out of it. (That problem seems to be fixed. It still doesn’t play the video, but at least it doesn’t lock up.) I have had LYRICS work and then not work and then work again. The interface keeps changing. BUT TODAY WAS THE ALL-TIME WORST. My movie chapters are sometimes gone. It says PLAY QUEUE instead. I want to be able to hit DOWN ARROW and have it bring up the “tools menu” and then I hit DOWN ARROW again I should see chapters. AND I DO for SOME movies! But NOT ALL MOVIES! And I am talking .MKV files from movies like 2010. This stuff USED TO WORK! I just don’t get it. Isn’t there any regression testing at all? Now regarding music, a .FLAC file -> SHIELD -> ONKYO makes sound (recall there was a recent regression where there was no sound) but now LYRICS are not working. (I have a Plex pass.) Now, I have more than one Plex client. For example, the AMAZON FIRE TV client (which has difficulty with some advanced audio formats, hence the need for different clients) was ABLE to play .FLAC files and show LYRICS when the SHIELD -> ONKYO client failed (but had previously worked). I have an enormous amount of time invested in Plex and quite a bit of money. At this point all I want is the product to do what it’s supposed to do. Once I get a version with no bugs, I will probably stay away from updates. Not that I don’t want cool new things, but because I cannot stand the aggravation of bugs and regressions! I have lost chapters on some videos now (haven’t analyzed to see which ones), but SOME WORK but others DO NOT! It says PLAY QUEUE! What is this all about?

I will reply to myself. There is a NEW setting. Apparently it was automatically turned on. When I turned it off, my Chapters came back. It seems. Why would the Plex developers think showing a PLAY QUEUE is more important than allowing me to skip through chapters? I’m watching something, and the interface is saying it’s more important to see what’s coming in the next video than tweaking what I’m doing? Makes no sense to me. And I still (probably) don’t have lyrics working anymore, so may be forced to deal with yet another incompatible-change update. If I can get a server and clients working, I will probably stop applying updates to both. I don’t have the time to waste. Or let’s just say I’d rather enjoy my media than try to guess how to get around the next bugs and/or regressions and/or incompatible changes, especially when they are not documented. If there was documentation, or a warning, on update, I would’ve known to turn off the new interface as soon as I discovered I do not like it.
