Until recently the Plex app on my LG TV displayed the summary information for a series when the series thumbnail was selected. But a recent change seems to have blocked this. Information is displayed for an episode but not for the series.
The series description is still displayed in the web player; it just appears to be a change to the TV app. Is this correct, a bug, or do I need to configure something?

Is this a multi Season series?
I left out an important detail 
It’s the home page showing “recently added” material. Recently added episodes have a description. But where multiple episodes have been consolidated under a single thumbnail - as happens if a whole series has been added recently - then when the thumbnail is highlighted the only thing that shows is the title. I’m sure that the series description used to appear (because if it hadn’t I’m sure I would have asked this question a long time ago!)
Some Tv Shows do not have season Metadata, that does not mean you can’t add it Manually from sources online.
Ah, I see the problem. Yes there is a description of the show, and there is a description of each episode, but there is no specific description for the show/season 01 and so nothing is displayed (even though this may be the only season of the show in the library).
OK, so I can create summary descriptions for every season by hand, but is there a way to automate this via some kind of script or batch job?
