Series Recording missed episode

So I have a series setup to record, however with recent changes in scheduling it DVR’d a soccer game instead of the intended series as the timeslot changed. I want to try to record the next airing of this episode in PLEX however when I try to record it it brings it to the series recording and won’t let me record the single episode without changing the settings on the series. Is there a way to record an episode of the series without changing the original series recording settings?

Can you set the original recording settings to “new and repeat airings” then after that one is done revert it to only “new” airings

That’s what i did but it seems annoying that I can’t just pick to record the one episode and not change my series settings.

I agree, this is quite annoying. I have a number of shows set to only record new episodes. I frequently see that an older episode that I like will be on and want to record it. It would be nice if we could manually set it to record since it doesn’t fall under the current recording settings.

Im still getting used to the plex dvr. I am coming from WMC and there you can record individual shows from a series and not have to change series settings if it happened to miss record an episode.
