Series renaming

Good day.

I recently ordered two TV series due to arrive later this week/early next week. Are there any technology guru’s out there that have a renaming batch file you would be willing to share? If you paste it here, I can create the “.bat” file.

Thank you,

J

Why not use FileBot?

I’ve done some research on the tools available, and Filebot is on the radar. My preference in that type of source is to try the free to determine value, than look at the value add of the paid.

Maybe a bit weird, I’m somewhat skeptical about free with these type of files. The open source is great for development by the community for value adds.

Thoughts?

For $6 a year, (I’ll be getting a lifetime license when my one year runs out) it’s a pretty good deal. Writing my own programs/scripts is a little above my head.

If you don’t mind a bit of manual file matching/aligning, I use Rename My TV Series exclusively. As long as it isn’t a DVD source, the numbers generally match up straight to the default from tvdb. RMTVS does support alternate (DVD) numbering systems as well though, so it could work for you.

Oh, and it’s free.

I use FileBot. IMHO, it’s worth it. I actually bought the lifetime.
(i’ll not care about media renaming in 10 years or so… LOL)

Ha!

In ten years, I’m not sure I’ll remember I have Plex, nor any Media for that matter. :zipper_mouth_face:

I went to bed last night at 18 years old and when I woke up the following morning I was many decades from that 18. Explain that one to me.

It happened to me too. I found the cause “Dutch Oven Brain Fart”

:joy: Too funny.

I’ve not heard that before.
