Hi there
I have a Plex Media Server which I’ve been running for years with absolutely no problems - until recently. The server runs on Linux, and sits behind a NAT firewall. I have port 32400 forwarded through the firewall and remote access has always worked just fine.
However recently (but before the password change), I have started to have remote access issues. The server seems to alternate between working absolutely fine, and showing “unable to connect securely” every few minutes. It seems to by cyclic though I haven’t figured out the period of the cycle.
I’ve checked and double checked the firewall, remote access, tested port 32400 reachability from outside my network, updated the server and rebooted just about everything but no joy. I could actually understand if the server was full time inaccessible, but I can’t fathom why it works some of the time, and reports insecure connections at other time.
Any help and debugging tips appreciated!
