Server/Client Encryption for Remote Connections (Shared Server)

I was wondering if there's any thought from the Plex Devs of encrypting streams between Plex server and client applications for Remote connections to a server? I think this would be useful for many, and would probably result in more people using PlexPass and it's accompanying Shared Server ability, in my opinion. In any case, I'm just curious what the devs think, and what the current PlexPass members think about it considering that currently, and to the best of my knowledge, all Plex streams are unencrypted?

+1 for encryption

Encryption would be really nice, but then it opens a whole can of worms about sharing copywrite material. If you want to pay for a encrypted VPN then you can already achieve this.

I just setup my owner VPN server (a lot of routers have VPN servers built in) and use that instead of myPlex for remote access.

The problem with built in encryption is support on the clients.

Most of the clients use some platform native play back feature for the streams. Wrapping that in encryption complicates things.

Encryption the for the webui an myplex interface however are probably not so hard.
