I started noticing a problem a few days ago when the server would crash when I tried playing a trailer in the Windows Player, so I told everyone to not play trailers. But since then, I will be direct streaming to a Samsung TV, chromecasting, or doing nothing at all and I will remote in and find the Plex Server app has just stopped and have to restart the app. This is happening almost every hour in the evening when people are direct streaming and transcoding.
Initially I thought it might be the RamDisk that I had set up for transcoding a few weeks ago, but since I’ve disabled all hardware acceleration it seems more stable. Things seemed to be fine until this latest update.
I’ve tried repairing the plex server install, cleaning the database if it was corrupt, changed the transcoder temp back to the SSD, but nothing seems to help.
