Server crashes (Win11)

Hi, I’m having issues with plex Crashing and not responding until killed by task manager and restarting.

The most recent logs I could find are attached below. I can’t find any more recent logs, but this is one of the examples of the issue showing up.

For background, I have recently migrated my installation from an old intel 3rd gen machine to a new intel 12th gen machine. I used a plex guide on transferring information to avoid setting up from scratch, this may be the cause?

Still getting continuous crashes, logs not indicating anything, they just stop until the server is restarted and they continue like nothing ever happened. Happy to provide compressed log file directory to anyone if needed - Driving me and my users mad, definitely not the performance I’m used to from Plex

Seems to be resolved. As I had brought my old files from my old PC to my new one, the CODEC folder had something weird happening as it was trying to reference a NVIDIA GPU which wasn’t in the new machine. I deleted the codec folder and have been crash free for 7 days.

The hint was this

Plex Server Crashing Randomly

This is exactly my issue. Everything had been stable up until this point. My Plex became unresponsive on 7/8/22 at approximately 1600 and on 7/14/22 at 1943. This was a crash - again would need full server logs zip to see the other log files and dump file identifier

This is indicative of memory allocation failures - process reaching / close to the 2Gb max for 32-bit app or other processes using up all available memory

Thanks - the 32bit limitation of 2GB would probably make sense, the system has 32GB of ram available for use so wasn’t likely a resourcing issue

I haven’t had a crash in a long time now, so wouldn’t be much point in trying to troubleshoot further, but i will look through the logs i compressed and see if ive got anything around that date - or ill just send the lot.

Ive also updated to the 64bit server version once i had no crashing issues for a few days
