Server Crashing when accessing from IOS device

Hello,

QNAP Server type is listed in my signature below.

Over past couple of days when trying to access the server either on the LAN or remote access via the WAN, PMS is crashing after a short amount of time playing a file. I tried deleting the IOS app and re-downloading, it played a TV show once, but thereafter started crashing again.

Access from Android devices is fine (ShieldTV, and Samsung Note 8). XBOXOne also access fine. Crashing seems to limited to IOS dev ices.

I can see that a crash log has been generated and sent off to Plex, however I have also attached the logs from the server.

The activity was around 12:45 - 13:15 in the Logs. Plex Media Server.3.log shows the crash happening.

Thank you for the logs. I have found one of the crash reports and I will pass it with the logs to the development team

If the problem is reproducible - could you get logs with verbose logging enabled as well on the server
You can disable verbose after you get the logs

After that, see if disabling automatic quality adjustment in the iOS app settings makes a difference

I am getting the same error. It has occur 5 times today playing the same file. Each time it plays the first 1 minute then the server crashes.

It crashed again. I turned the verbose logging on. I have attached my logs.

I tried disabling automatic quality adjustment and the server did not crash.

If the server is crashing then need the zip of all the log files as that would include the crash uploading logs as well - assuming you do have crash reporting enabled

@sa2000

The fault is reproducible.

Logs attached with Verbose logging switched on. Server crash happened around 2230.

It is linked to the Auto quality setting. With the auto quality setting on the Server will crash after a short period of play.

With a fixed Bitrate the file plays as it should with no Crash.

If you start playback at a fixed bitrate and then change to auto adjust quality after the file has started playing the server will crash.

Hope this information helps.
