Server has been running fine for months and nothing has changed but now all of a sudden myself and other users are getting errors. Locally (100mbit) I was getting the server isn’t fast enough and I’ve heard from two people now that have gotten similar messages and in some cases fail to load content. My connection is 30/30Mbits and I ran a speed test and it’s fine. This wouldn’t affect the local version anyway so why out of the blue is this happening? The server is not even close to be being overloaded, it can handle 6 transcoding streams on a normal day.

Direct play seems to work fine (except once last week) but people using Fire Stick or Roku get that message.
I have seen this message as well if there some minor lag in getting the data at first, and then it goes away.
Are your users seeing consistently or just at the beginning ?

I have version 2.6.1 installed on my qnap. It’s a ts-341+, nothing fancy, but has been able to stream my content for months. Now it can’t stream anything.
I’m using the web interface on my Google Pixel 2. Again, no change in computer either. No change in settings.

you can get some logs from Plex Web app and Plex Media Server and a full screenshot (with url and time showing as well as the error) and one can see then what is going on and if it slow to transcode now or other issues
