We are totally non tech people. We changed the password and lost the server connection. I need step by step directions on how to get it back. We did have the server downloaded, but it is not linking to the app. Help!
When you selected the option to sign out all devices while changing your password, this included your server. As a consequence it’s no longer associated with your account.
There’s basically two procedures:
Manually claiming your server:
- open http://127.0.0.1:32400 in a browser on the machine hosting the server
- Alternatively, you can select the
Open Plexcommand from the PMS icon in the Windows system tray
- Alternatively, you can select the
- Navigate to
Settings>[Server Name]>General - Click the
Claim/Sign inbutton at the center of that settings page
