I am a Plex Pas user of many years.
About a month ago the Boot HD on my Plex Media Server (iMac) died. However all the media files exist on a separate raid system. I sent the original drive and machine in for data recovery. While that was happening I set up a second machine and server, attached the original raid, and added in all the libraries anew. That server thus became a second (temporary) server associated with my account.
My users were then able to at least regain access to the movie and tv show libraries 'while the main server machine was in for repairs - of course all the original user watch-histories were of course lost for that temporary machine. But now, I have the original machine back, with all the original files recovered.
But, even though the server software launches, and all my original external users are still there, none of the libraries originally associated with that server are appearing. In fact, it is looking for and not finding the original server name at all - it IS looking for the temporary server (although that machine is not booted up any longer, so I would not expect it to be found). But the original server on the recently repaired iMac although running is not finding its libraries.
I thought it would have just started working again, now that the machine has been completely recovered.
I will admit to being a bit confused.
I simply want the original server now - the temporary one 'used only while the main one was in the shop for repairs is not needed any longer.
