Server preventing local clients from LAN access

Recently all my Plex clients Inc firestick no longer connect to the server as “Nearby” and use remote access. There has been no changes or updates that I’m aware of.

I’ve check connectivity via standard explorer and still able to access server from all machines. If I manually set the address of server in each client they all then use “Nearby” over remote. However this was not needed before.
On a side note, all mobile platform based Plex apps are when on the same LAN WiFi able to connect and play as “Nearby” automatically as expected. However, Plexamp on both PC and mobile streams remotely and does not use Nearby. There is no options within Plexamp to set manual server.

I’ve tried all the standard fixes on the Plex help. Check network settings, subnet, signed server in and out. Disabled all firewalls and antivirus but still the PMP would still stream over remote when on the same network.

Any suggestions or help would be amazing.

I fixed it, Plex server had changed my default LAN controller in network settings to “Any” and it much have been putting it to a VM Switch which doesn’t have access to that specific LAN.

Anyway issue sorted.
