Damn just updated and only just saw this post!
Yeah, me too. I’ve got an WD Nas, not Synology, but same problem - no access to any server settings.
I’ve reverted to 1.16.5 for now.
I just upgraded PMS from version 1.16.5.1554 to version 1.16.6.1559 on my Synology DS916+. Now I can no longer access the server settings and the agents are unavailable when I scan for new media. All pages in the setting have the message “Server settings are unavailable.” I am unable to provide logs because I the settings are inaccessible.
I did uninstall the latest package and reinstall version 1.16.5.1554 and everything went back to normal. The settings are back and agents are working again.
I then tried to run the update to 1.16.6.1559 again. Same problem, “Server settings are unavailable,” and the agents don’t work, so I rolled back again.
I’m going to stick with 16.6.5.1554 for now. Hopefully this will be resolved before the next update is released.
Same issue here… Let’s hope we’ll get a fix soon…
This is happening with UnRaid also. Just upgraded my docker image to 1.16.6.1559-1-01 this morning and instant broken settings in Plex.
Downgrading did not fix the issue for me. Maybe because I followed the Preferences.xml fix for the Server settings are unavailable issue before I found out this was going on.
After downgrading the server shows up in the list as “Connecting…”, then disappears. Can’t access it at all, local ip seems to work so the server is running, but same issue there.
Same for me, just updated to the latest release and now any movies I add just end up with the default poster and no meta data… If I select the Match option, Agent and Language dropdown just read ‘Loading’. Also “Server Settings are Unavailable” message all over the settings page.
im am not able to downgrade on Synology anybody tips how to downgrade?
Uninstall the package, then manually install the version you want. All the data should be there. But, again, my server became completely inaccessible, so I can’t confirm If it’s safe to do.
It complained about already used ports after uninstall. A reboot fixed it and allowed the install of the older package.
Build 1.16.6.1559 has been corrected and is now being superseded with the corrected build.
The root cause was an RPATH regression.
The new build is 1.16.6.1592
I can confirm that 1.16.6.1592 fixes the previously stated issues of server settings being unavailable and new media not fetching metadata. Thanks for the fast turnaround on this

Sadly does not fix the issue for me. Probably because I tried to apply another fix for this issue. Will probably wipe all Plex data and start fresh.
It works flawless in my NAS. Thank you
Perfect. Thanks.
