“Server settings are unavailable” on Plex server 1.22.1.4271

Just installed the new server version 1.22.1.4271 on Synology DSM DSM 6.2.4-25556.

On every section of server settings, I get “Server settings are unavailable.” And it won’t let me install the last .spk version to restore this functionality.

i have the same issue with PMS for my Synology nas. My desktop PMS settings work fine with this version - just not NAS.

I am having the same issue as well. There needs to be a way to roll back.

Same issue - removed the install and did a fresh install - now the issue is -

A problem has been detected with a core component of Plex Media Server.

Update: by checking the logs it seems that the fresh install failed to create the Plug-ins directory -

and these are the requests in the logs that making the server fail -

Same issue here.
DSM 6.2.3-25426 Update 3 on Synology DS218+

Same issue.
Synology DS1821+

problem exists on both update files:
PlexMediaServer-1.22.1.4271-b86a5e175-x86_64_DSM6.spk
and
PlexMediaServer-1.22.2.4274-a85c82272-x86_64_DSM6.spk

Same issue - I even went to the Plex downloads and downloaded the latest which was 1.22.2.4274) even though through the Plex Web Admin it downloaded 1.22.14271. Both versions I can no longer get into the server settings.

The Synology update manager will not let you revert to an older copy (I have kept every update package for this reason).

Had the same issue.
DS920+ DSM 6.2.3-25426 Update 3

Uninstalled Plex Server 1.22.1.4271 and installed Plex 1.22.1.4228 again after rebooting the NAS. (still had that one in my download folder)
This solved the issue for me.

Same issue also on my DS 1019+

Plus i also noticed that with 1.22.1.4271 i’m unable to edit any of my library.
When i got to Manage Library > Edit, then i’m unable to click on basically anything in there. All is greyed out.

Due to other bugs with the 1.22.xxx version, i’m actually back on 1.21.3.4046

You have to uninstall the (Plex) package first on a Synology to rollback/install an older version. (I believe this is a Synology Package Manager limitation, not Plex.)

Like everyone else I am seeing this very same issue. In the interim, would you post the version from yesterday?

Yep, I’m having the same issue now running 1.22.2.4274-6000 for X86 Synology. The last few Plex Server updates have been causing of lot of issues!

Same issue with PlexMediaServer-1.22.1.4271 on Synology Nas.

I am fine with the limitation, but I’d rather not uninstall. It seems the Plex devs are aware of the issue. I hope they release an update shortly.

How does it seem they are aware of it? No one from Plex commented on any of these posts. The update could have been for another reason.

Also having the problem with Ubuntu 64 bit build on a Dell 710.
