Server sleep function - delaying countdown start instead of only preventing sleep

Plex prevents computer from entering the sleep state while streaming, but when the content ends, computer goes straight to sleep mode if the idle countdown is shorter than the content’s duration. This is spatially bad for series episodes, that are shorter, requiring you to wake the PC up between each episode (if your sleep timer is 30min, lets say).

My suggestion (if that is possible): Plex should hold the PC’s sleep timer for the content’s duration, releasing it to start counting down after the movie/chapter have ended. This way the server will never be down between movies or any content switch.

Hope this is useful for more people. Thank you! : )

On what platform are you experiencing this behavior?

Windows 11. My PC is set to seep after 1h. As soon as the movie finishes streaming to the TV, the computer turns itself off.

Additionally, happened just now, went to changr the subtitles settings and more than ab hour had passed while watching the movie. Plex had to reload the content “stopping” the streaming service and the computer went right to sleep mode.

I’m not sure if this is available, but if the OS have the option for the apps to delay the sleep countdown start point, it would make more sense in this case.
