Every night, approximately 15 minutes after the scheduled tasks begin, the Plex Server Crashes and the process dies. It started happening a month or two ago. I have rebuilt the database, changed some of the suggested settings, but nothing has helped. I see many other people are having the same problem on reddit posts.
and a few more i found in another serach that are more recent. I am running on a MacPro from late 2013 running Monterey 12.1 OS. 12 GB of Ram with a 6 core Xeon E5 processor. It is almost entirely dedicated to Ples Server.
Is there anyone from Plex who might have any suggestions? I updated the version to the latest last night, and that did not help the situation. Dead in the AM as always.
Have you tried turning off all scheduled tasks and see if the problem stops? That’s what I’d start with. Then if that solved the problem start turning them back on one by one. Find out if it’s one of the tasks then start eliminating why that one is a problem. You also could look at your logs to see if it’s working on a specific file when it terminates. If it seems to I’d move that file out of Plex’s view and see if it fixes the problem. Seems like I’ve seen this problem before with bad files.
