Recently, I was out of town, using Plex on my Roku, and noticed I lost server availability. I assumed this was my PC restarting; no biggie.
When I got home, and saw the update to the Roku app, I restarted my PC (where the server is housed), and continued to get the “Server Unavailable” message on my Roku (it’s built in to a TCL Series 6 TV); however, my library still shows up perfectly fine on my PC. All my friends’ libraries show up without issue.
So far I have:
- Ensured server and player are up-to-date
- Logged in and out of the Roku and my PC numerous times.
- Deleted Plex app and server, logged out on my TV, reinstalled both and logged back in
- Made sure remote access is Fully Accessible
Nothing works. And because Plex doesn’t offer any tech support (not even for those of us who bought a lifetime pass) I can’t get an answer. This is driving me insane because I did not make a single change to any settings at all; the ONLY thing that changed was Plex for Roku being updated. No matter what I do my library will not show up on Roku. Total nuclear annihilation of my Plex account aside, I haven’t got a clue how to fix this.
