Server undetectable on Mac Plex app, but available on http://127.0.0.1:32400/web/index.html

I haven’t used Plex for 9 months, and decided to log in today.

Unfortunately, using the Plex app showed “app.plex.tv is unable to connect to “SJ’s iMac” securely”, while “http://127.0.0.1:32400/web/index.html” shows the server is up and running no problem. It shows my library and I am able to play films.

I don’t understand what this means; can someone tell me how to resolve the problem?
