Server using GET HTTP on random computer on my network

Server Version#: 1.25.6.5577
Player Version#: Web Player?

I have spent the last 3 hours looking through the Plex forum and a few other forums with no luck on this issue. I keep having the following error on my server in the logs.

[HttpClient] HTTP error requesting GET http://10.10.10.31:51521/RootDevice.xml (7, Couldn’t connect to server) (Failed to connect to 10.10.10.31 port 51521: Connection refused)

It is the same error every time and I don’t have anything set up on the machine it is trying to reach at the .32 IP address. That machine does not even use plex. I have looked everywhere on the plex server settings as well as on the machine its trying to connect to as well as my firewall and nothing is set to go to that machine, especially not over the network. Is there a way to force the server to stop trying to talk to that machine? The error does not seem to be causing issues but I would like the error to disappear. Kind of like a pile of dog pop, I didn’t ask for it to appear in my yard, I just want it to disappear.

Thanks in advance!

This comes occasionally. This is the result of Plex Media Server’s use of SSDP to discover other devices on your local network. While some functions can be disabled (GDM server discovery and DLNA) others cannot.

Plex is always going to send SSDP search requests on your local network and it will query devices which respond using the URL they provide (such as what you show above).

These errors can be safely ignored as they are not indicative of any “failure” of the server itself.
